Imagine..being the first community in Australia to go plastic free..
It’s an ambitious goal, but what better community than Noosa to achieve this? And with your help, we’re getting there.
Not only that, but we’re inspiring and empowering other communities along the way!
HOW?
In a nutshell, we work directly with food retailers, events, markets, and other organisations in Noosa and assist them to switch from single-use plastics to better alternatives.
But… that’s just the beginning. We also work with council, suppliers, manufacturers and composters to deliver real solutions to businesses.
And if that’s not enough.. we aim to inspire our community (i.e. YOU) to make changes in your own life and support those businesses that do too.
DOES IT WORK?
Yes! We worked with over 100 businesses and eliminated more than 1.5 MILLION single-use plastic items in 2018.
We also started implementing the program in Byron and Perth.
